The biggest attraction at Csillag\u00f6sv\u00e9ny is its hedge maze, crafted from 35,000 privet plants across 1.5 hectares... Today, with its 2-meter height and 3.5 km length, it offers an unforgettable 45-60 minute experience for families, groups of friends, kindergarten and school groups, and even workplace teams.<\/p>\n

Thematic Maze<\/h2>\n

Try out our largest maze, which was created based on a unique concept in Hungary and even in Europe! Make the right decisions at 13 junctions and find your way out of the maze by choosing the correct path! At each junction, we provide thematic guidance, making our maze truly unique.\nWe offer tricky questions in different themes, where a correct answer leads you in the right direction. Our questions, available in both Hungarian and English, are designed for enthusiastic explorers as young as preschoolers. Visitors can choose from themes such as fairy tales, animals, plants, retro world, history, and more.\nIf you make a wrong choice, there\u2019s no need to worry\u2014since our opening in 2011, no one has ever been stuck in the maze! A wrong answer leads to a dead end, but you can simply turn back and continue in the right direction, now armed with the correct answer.<\/p>\n

A Special Experience for the Whole Family<\/h2>\n

The goal of the maze is not competition\u2014so the winner is not the one who gets out first! Instead, we provide a space for shared learning, conversations, engaging the less-used parts of the brain, and enjoying a nearly hour-long walk in the fresh air.\nTo encourage disconnecting from the fast-paced digital world, we provide printed question sheets at the junctions. The enclosed evergreen hedge maze is crossed by six wooden bridges, allowing curious explorers to navigate both under and over them.<\/p>\n

The Maze from a Bird\u2019s-Eye View<\/h2>\n

If you look at most mazes from above, they form a recognizable shape. Our maze is designed to depict the Wonder Stag, which, according to legend, guided Nimr\u00f3d\u2019s sons, Hunor and Magor, to a new land where they eventually settled. Given that \u00d3pusztaszer holds great historical significance for Hungarians, this choice was a natural one for us.<\/p>\n

For those who need a break, there is a lookout tower at the center of the maze, offering a place to rest. During summer, misting gates provide a refreshing cool-down, so adventurous visitors are welcome even in hot weather.\nFor those who need to exit quickly, we have also built escape routes\u2014gates placed at the maze\u2019s halfway point allow visitors to easily cut their journey short if necessary.<\/p>\n

Experience It Again and Again!<\/h2>\n

Thanks to the thematic guidance, maze lovers can enjoy our hedge maze multiple times, choosing a new theme and new questions to challenge themselves. And if that\u2019s not enough, visitors will also find take-home puzzles at each checkpoint! Those who send in the correct answers will be rewarded with a special gift.<\/p>\n

The hedge maze is suitable for all ages. However, due to the wooden bridges, we recommend using a baby carrier instead of a stroller for the youngest visitors.<\/p>\n
