Can the civil ceremony be held at the venue?

Yes, our lakeside is an ideal spot for the wedding ceremony, where you can say “I DO” in a romantic, natural environment. We decorate the wedding altar and the happiness arch with muslin ribbons and flowers, while the surroundings can be enhanced with light decorations, lanterns, and glass ornaments. You are welcome to decorate the space yourselves or enlist a professional decorator.

For those who prefer a romantic indoor ceremony, we also recommend two nearby locations within walking distance: the renovated Pallavicini Chapel or the Church of Our Lady of the Hungarians in Ópusztaszer.

What accommodation options are available nearby?

There are several high-quality accommodation options in the area. At Ópusztaszeri Erdei Vendégházak (Forest Guesthouses), guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, and shuttle services are available between the venue and the accommodations. The welcoming atmosphere makes guests want to return even after the wedding! Additionally, several guesthouses and Szeri Camping’s wooden cabins are within reach. For larger groups, we recommend Aqua Hotel in Kistelek or Krónikás Park Inn in Bakson.

How do you get to Csillagösvény? What are the parking options?

Csillagösvény is located in Ópusztaszer, next to the National Historical Memorial Park. It’s easy to find on a map, and signs in the area help with navigation.

There is shaded parking available in the Csillagösvény parking lot and near Szeri Csárda.

What happens if it rains?

In case of rainy or chilly weather, the ceremony can be held inside the yurt. The celebration won’t be affected by wind or heavy rain, as our venue is enclosed with large windows.

What does the venue rental include?

If you choose us, the entire Csillagösvény will be yours from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon! Our rental package grants you exclusive access to all visitable areas of Csillagösvény during this period, including: the 300 m² yurt, a dressing room, the hedge maze, all other adventure elements at our park. Additionally, the lakeside wedding ceremony setup is included, and we can provide decor elements in a rustic/vintage style upon request: Indoor & outdoor string lights, light curtains, wooden barrels, wooden lanterns, mason jars, various candle holders, wooden slices, antique suitcases, metal buckets, etc. We can also set up an outdoor relaxation area with pallet seating and straw bales, decorated with fairy lights. Electricity is included in the price, so you don’t have to pay extra for it!

We can recommend trusted caterers who have experience at our venue. The buffet tables can be placed in front of the central yurt oven, making for a cozy and visually pleasing backdrop. For a unique culinary experience, you can opt for on-site cauldrons or show grills. Drinks can be served from ice-filled wheelbarrows, and we ensure water and electricity supply for all catering needs.

Is the venue suitable for creative wedding photography?

Yes! Our hedge or fence maze provides a truly unique location for a creative photoshoot, but our romantic swing, the dense vegetation of our number battle field, our netted lookout, and the lakeside also offer opportunities for capturing different styles of photos. The National Historical Memorial Park is located just 500 meters from us, where you can also find an exciting backdrop to capture your big day.

Does Csillagösvény have wedding decorations, or do we need to bring everything ourselves?

Over the years, we have collected decorative elements for various styles, which we can provide to couples getting married here. If you’re planning a vintage, rustic, or even bohemian-style wedding, you’ll surely find something suitable among our decorations (a special champagne wall for post-ceremony serving, indoor and outdoor string lights, light curtains, wooden barrels, wooden lanterns, mason jars, various candle holders, wooden slices, antique suitcases, metal buckets…).

Is the hedge maze available for use?

Yes, absolutely! The hedge maze offers a unique experience for wedding guests as well. The thematic questionnaire can be personalized by the newlyweds, allowing guests to navigate the 13 crossroads by correctly answering questions about the future bride and groom, ultimately reaching the lookout tower at the center of the maze. This activity is a perfect choice during the creative photoshoot, ensuring that while you are taking pictures, your guests won’t be bored.
